Roll material for automatic packaging lines

　　Tyvek® is a high-density polyethylene spunbonded material developed by DuPont. Since its introduction into medical applications, Tyvek has been recognized as an outstanding material for sterile packaging. It has earned this reputation because, compared with any other barrier material used in medical sterile applications, Tyvek provides a higher level of protection.

　　1. Outstanding bacterial barrier performance

　　Through repeated testing, Tyvek has demonstrated that, even under the most extreme conditions, it offers superior resistance to bacterial spore penetration compared with other barrier materials. Furthermore, a long-term packaging‑life study has confirmed that, provided the package remains intact, Tyvek can effectively inhibit bacterial growth for at least five years.

　　2. Excellent tear resistance and puncture resistance

　　Tyvek is exceptionally strong and durable; its continuous fibers ensure that the packaging will not tear or puncture, even when exposed to irregular or sharp edges of surgical instruments.

　　3. Clean stripping performance

　　Due to its unique structure, Tegaderm leaves no debris when the packaging is peeled off and does not generate airborne particulates. This clean‑peel performance minimizes contamination of sterile, dust‑free environments.
